YOUTH RIDES
2025 Dates & Details

Wednesdays 6:30 - 7:45pm

Youth Program Parent Manual
Ages 5-17
Registration includes Alberta Bicycle Association Membership. If you have an ABA membership through another sport (like BMX), please let us know.
Please Note:
All participants are required to have proper fitting CPSC approved bicycle helmet free of damage, cracks and dents. Full face helmets are not required (or appropriate).
Participants must be able to ride a pedal bike and have a mountain bike of suitable size in good working condition. Bikes must have hand brakes (no pedal/coaster brakes) and tires with tread. A bike check will be completed on the first day of the program.
Registration for the 2025 will be a maximum of 50 participants due to coach availability.
Youth ages 5-17 who are a part of this exciting youth riders program are learning the basics of mountain biking in a safe and fun environment. Each ride night the youth spend time working on specific mountain biking skills and shreddin' up some trails!
LADIES RIDES

Ladies rides will focus on enjoying the riding that Red Deer has to offer with a rad group of women. All rides will be no drop (which means, we will not leave anyone behind) and we may split into groups if there is a difference in individual goals for the evening. Rides will be off the paved trails and on the single track trails. You can check out the Red Deer trails on Trailforks.com.
Try before you buy! Not sure if this is something you would be interested in? You can come try the club for one night by filling out our online waiver and sending an email to Savymountainriders@gmail.com with your details.
